IN RE: ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER 1999-7 -- DISPOSITION OF WEAPONS -- P.F.A. ORDERS



ORDER OF COURT

AND NOW, this 24th day of June, 1999, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that upon the expiration of a Protection From Abuse Act order which authorized the Sheriff to confiscate a weapon, the Sheriff shall notify the owner of the weapon that if the weapon is not claimed within forty-five (45) days of the date of the notice, the Sheriff will destroy the weapon.
Notice by the Sheriff shall be sent by regular mail to the last known address of the owner of the weapon. The owner may report a change of address to the Sheriff by completing a change of address form available at the Sheriff’s Office, Northampton County Government Center, Easton, Pennsylvania.
